Most paint programs will not accept GIF format files so you will need to convert the coloring pages to a different file format before you can use them. PC Paint Programs generally accept BMP and PCX files. Mac Paint programs generally accept PICT files.
Converting files is easy with the AOL built-in graphic viewer/converter. But if you find you need some help, press the "Ask The Staff" button on this form and mail the Rec Room Staff your question. We'll respond to your letter as soon as possible! :)
1) Go to the MEMBERS Menu Item at the top of your screen. Choose "Set Preferences". Now Select "Graphics" and click on the check box that says "Display image files on download". (This only needs to be done once unless you decide to turn off the graphic viewer at a later date.)
2): Download the coloring page. If your AOL software is working properly and you have enough memory, the graphic will appear on your screen.
3): With the graphic as your active (on the top) window, go to the FILE Command at the top of the AOL window and choose SAVE AS. Look for the "List Files of Type" box on the bottom left hand side of the "Save Graphic As" window. Select BMP or PCX (whichever format your paint program uses) and save the file. Now you can load the file into your paint program.
